PTA Exec Board Positions Available

Our exec board is in need of filling many positions next year! The continuation, and success of Lincoln’s PTA relies on new volunteers stepping up! Board members reap the rewards of working closely not only with the school, but students and parents in a way that can uplift and change lives.

** Please see descriptions below and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions to [email protected] **

President: The President presides at monthly meetings, and coordinates the meeting agenda. Additionally, the President serves as a resource to Committee Chairs, as they work on their respective duties / committees. The President also is a liaison from the district level (PTA Council) to Lincoln, sharing district wide events to be advertised in PTA communications. This is a two-year commitment. (Note: Former President, Martha Foley, will continue to be on the exec board as a secondary VP and will be available to help with this role during the first year.)

Vice President: The VP serves as a backup to the President as needed (at meetings, or in other functions). Two other major responsibilities include:
1. Coordinate grade-level field trips (this coming year we will have 1-2 parent volunteers from each grade level to help assist the VP with this task).
2.  Coordinate school assemblies (usually 2x per year; one in fall and one in spring).
This is a two-year commitment.
(Note: Former VP, Lindsey Sloan, will be available to help onboard the new VP.)

Secretary: The Secretary will be present at PTA meetings and will record minutes for each meeting. When needed, the secretary will document attendance / results for amendments voted on during PTA meetings. This is a two-year commitment.
(Note: Amy Colo will be available to help onboard the new Secretary).

Treasurer: (Note: We are looking for someone to shadow Lindsay Williams during the 2024-25 school year. This person will then take over the Treasurer role during the 2025-26 and 26-27 school year.) The Treasurer manages the budget and finances, and reports monthly reports at the PTA meetings. The Treasurer handles check-writing for expenses, including reimbursements to committee chairs. This is a two-year commitment.
