I’ve had children in school for 12 years now, but still, the end of the school year sneaks up on me. It’s such a whirlwind with the end of year parties, spirit days, and Olympic Day. I’m happy for the summer break, yet it’s bittersweet to see how fast time goes by. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of the Lincoln family, and I am reminded again why the PTA is such an integral part of the school experience.
All of the events (class parties, fitness nights, holiday store, high-interest day, spelling bee, movie nights, science night, talent show, field trips, assemblies, teacher appreciation….) are possible because of your contributions to the PTA. Your membership dollars, donations, and volunteer hours help make it all possible. With your support, we enrich, engage and empower our students, teachers, and staff.
I hope you’ll continue to support and get involved with the Abe Lincoln PTA. If you meet any new families this summer please tell them to get in touch with the PTA. We’d be happy to welcome them to the Lincoln community. If you’re moving on to Hadley, or another junior high, I encourage you to become a PTA member. They do great work to enrich and engage the middle school students and staff.
You’ll see occasional PTA updates this summer regarding Meet and Greet in August along with details for picking up your school supply orders. Check out our website at AbeLincolnpta.org and like our Facebook page to stay informed.
Your new Executive Committee (Liza Sury, Mindy Hacker, Kelly Michel, Sonalee Sharma, and Stacey Koszela) will be ready to greet you in August!
