Hello members! Thank you so much to those who joined us at our first in-person meeting of the year last Tuesday, 8/31; we were delighted by the turnout and the chance to welcome several new families to the fold! The big theme was the recent guidelines related to being in the current high transmission/red stage for Covid. Principal Sarah Rodriguez was on hand to answer questions and share how much the kids are loving being back in school and impressing the grown ups with their optimism. As co-presidents, Marta Scarleski and Tiffany Ruddle talked about upcoming onboarding for committee chairs and room parents, led a discussion about fall fundraising, and announced our first assembly, “The Magic of Science,” which will be held outside. Treasurer Jill Martelli presented the proposed budget and the group voted to approve it. Committee chairs and club leaders are hard at work finding creative ways to have fun and host beloved events within the safety framework. It’s going to be a great year!
