Fall Fun Run

Fun Run 4-1-1

What is it?

The Fall Fun Run is a PTA fundraising event held for students during the school day. Kids will come together as a whole grade to run laps on a specially-designed race course for the back field. Ms. Passini will be on the DJ deck, Ms. Norton and Ms. Menendez will emcee the run, and families are invited to come cheer the runners on! Students will receive special bibs for the run and will be assigned a class color to wear on the day. Check out the Abe Lincoln Fall Fun Run event page here.

When is it?

Fundraising began this past Monday, October 18, and closes Friday, November 12. The Fun Run itself is during specials blocks by grade on Wednesday, November 3.

Times for grade level events:

8:35   4th Grade

9:25   3rd Grade

10:10 2nd Grade

10:55 AM Kinder

1:15   PM Kinder

1:50   1st Grade

2:40   5th Grade

What do I need to do?

Please register your students here. After that, share the page with your networks to help us reach our fundraising goal. Families are welcome to come cheer students on or volunteer to help with the event itself here. If you can’t make it, no worries. There will be plenty of friendly faces to get the kids excited! The event is scheduled during the day so every student can participate in the Fun Run experience.

What in the world is a Golden Shoe?

The Golden Shoe is one of many incentives, and definitely the one getting the most word of mouth! Every day the Golden Shoe is presented to the class with the most money raised. There will be a weekly raffle of students who have completed the free registration to have a sock fight with Mr. Schremp. Teachers who reach at least 50% of registration for their classes can win an Amazon gift card. And that’s just the beginning! Find a full list of incentives on the event page linked above.

Why are we raising money?

Money raised goes to PTA programming including all school assemblies, High Interest Day, clubs, teacher appreciation, social events, and more. This year we are also working toward a new classroom set of Makerspace Ozobots for Ms. Kellam to use in Digital Media. You can find more detail on the fundraising aspect on our event page linked above. Our goal is $13,000, and if we earn more we can tap into the Wish List compiled by PTA and Lincoln staff!
