Benjamin Burke is a first grader at Ben Franklin. A few days after his 7th birthday he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood cancer T-Cell Leukemia. He has been bravely fighting the disease while still attending school and playing baseball (which he loves).
A kind Glen Ellyn Family – Ray and Kathy Whalen, have set up a night at the Kane County Cougars game for Benjamin. We will have a section of tickets that can be purchased and we can all watch the game together (wearing our Brave for Benjamin wear or Red). Benjamin will throw out the first pitch and then Burke Boys will be saying “Play Ball” on the microphone prior to the game starting. Just a fun and uplifting night for their family. (It is also the peanut free night at the game)
