Dr. Gordon shared information about Dr. Julie Causton’s inclusion parent presentation, Parent Camp, and the concept drawings for Hadley and Churchill. He shared updates on the possible housing development behind Center Ice and the steps he has taken to coordinate with the Village. He addressed questions about the school board’s request for a dynamic budget and the status of the Financial Advisory Committee.
Many exciting and engaging parent education opportunities are coming up in September, including A Day with Dr. G on 9/13, Inclusion with Dr. Julie Causton on 9/14, and Parent Camp on 9/16. D41 staff participated in 2 days of workshops with Dr. Causton and highly recommend her presentation, describing it as engaging, funny, and transformational. Please add these events to your calendar and bring a few friends!
Council is seeking a Reflections Council Chair for this year to assist school-level chairs and evaluate district-wide submissions by early November. Volunteers are also needed to shadow Winter Outerwear Drive and Supplies for Success chairs this year in order to take over as chairs next school year.
