Spring 2019 TBD Annual service project where students host local seniors citizens for tea and entertainment at school. Manners, service, baking, and hospitality are all practiced as part of the Abraham Lincoln community service project. Volunteers are needed to help students plan and host the event.

Screen Free Week

Students are encouraged to turn off televisions and screens for a week with plenty of activities to keep them busy. Chairpersons coordinate and communicate the options for screen free week. Work with building administrators to decide on whole school reward for participation. Screen free week activities are already set. Need someone to step in and run it (print/deliver screen free week charts to teacher mailboxes, put up signs/reminders in the hallways).

Supported by our PTA, the Lincoln Student Ambassador organization is a leadership program for students in 5th grade that focuses on the Character Counts! pillars, while supporting our school in various service projects.  We learn and identify how we can use the character traits every day to better our school, community, and environment. Ambassador activities include organizing the “Fill the Cubbies” food drive, identifying service projects for our holiday room parties (such as collecting candy for the troops), and supporting PTA and other school-wide activities, just to name a few.
