Wondering what to do May 8th for entertainment during screen free week? Come to Hobby Night in the Old Gym where students from Lincoln will be sharing their amazing hobbies! From 6:30 to 7:30 you will be able to walk around and talk to the students about their hobbies and displays. In the past, displays included: rocks/ minerals, coins, stuff animals, baseball cards, erasers, artwork, robots, Pokemon cards, sports, fossils, and marbles. Come and join the fun! We can’t wait to see you there!
If your Lincoln student (K-5th) has a hobby or collection they would like to show, please reserve their spot.
Whether it’s a collection of coins, comic books, rocks, stuffed animals, or Disney pins, or a hobby like knitting, remote control vehicles, drawing, video games, sewing, or soccer – whatever you can think of (no live animals), we would love for them to display it and talk about it to others.
Your student will need to set up their station and stay at their station for the entire hour to explain their hobby or collection to fellow students (parents can hang out with them). They will have approximately a 2’x4′ display table and the display will need to be set up by 6:15 pm. They will then need to take down their display at the end of the evening. Each participant will get a certificate for sharing their knowledge about their hobby at Hobby Night.
The rest of Lincoln school is invited to come to Hobby Night to look at the displays and ask questions to the students about their interests. It’s such a fun night!
Reserve a spot by emailing Shannon Moyano and Eileen Kennedy at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send student’s name, grade, and collection/hobby. Thank you!
