Garden Club

June 30

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 12:00am on of June, repeating indefinitely

The Abe Lincoln PTA Garden Club has been responsible for maintaining the courtyard gardens and entrance planters. This year will continue our focus on the introduction of pollinator-friendly native plants into the landscape. We hope to inspire kids and their families to pursue eco-friendly gardening at home.

This February, we launch our Native Plant Sale! Pre-order by the last Monday in February and pick-up your native plants the week prior to Mother’s Day! Order plants in February at go.abelincolnpta.org/store and see the 2018 plant list at go.abelincolnpta.org/NativePlants

Future goals include the introduction of an edible courtyard garden, certified bird and butterfly gardens, and providing curriculum-based opportunities for students to get involved. We also hope to partner with area organizations to enrich the program.

Volunteers

If you share a passion for eco-friendly gardening or just want to learn more, please contact us at Garden@abelincolnpta.org. Volunteers will be needed for regularly watering and ad hoc planting.
